Our Stats
2024 was our first year in action where we started providing low-cost spay/neuter services. We established our very first partnerships with Paws Mobile Vet and Brother Wolf’s Fido Fixers, and by December we’d absorbed “Lend Us Your Ear”, or LUYE; an existing nonprofit focused on community cat care and TNR. We also established a partnership with PetSmart to find homes for the friendly cats and kittens we find during our TNR efforts.
Just as we were truly ramping up, we were hit with a devastating flood (Helene) which wiped out many of the partner clinics we worked with so closely. October through December was focused on rebuilding the community and establishing new partnerships with the ASPCA and The Solution Spay & Neuter Clinic.
The acquisition of LUYE was a beacon of hope after the flood that brought us new volunteers, new energy, and new resources including a van that allows us to perform larger spay/neuter transports. We now have volunteers dedicated to trapping and transporting community cats which has acted as a springboard towards our future goals.
Given the successes of 2024, we’re aiming high for 2025.
We’re in the process of cementing our rescue/adoption program and establishing procedures and processes to ensure we’re maximizing our resources and abilities to create new and better lives for friendly community cats. Part of this includes creating a home-based foster room where we can prepare cats for adoption into the PetSmart adoption center. (If you would like to be part of this new program, please sign up here under “Foster!”)
We are actively looking for new partnerships with local and semi-local vets, specifically those focusing on high-volume spay/neuter, so we can expand our community cat TNR volume and offer affordable spay/neuter services to the public again as we did prior to Helene.
Given our growth in 2024, we are looking for new volunteers to join our team to bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to the work we do daily. We need everything from social media coordinators to trappers and transporters. You can see all the roles we’re looking to fill here.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s get into the 2024 statistics…
