Baby & Gray’s Story

Baby is the young patriarch to a feral colony, but has been socialized by his caretaker and turned into the biggest… well, baby! He LOVES snuggles, pets, cuddles, and spending time with his human-mom. He is a protector and watches over his baby “Gray” and colony matriarch “Pretty” like no other. Baby was born with entropion, a condition where his eyelashes were growing into his eyes causing constant pain and infections. He had surgery the summer of 2024 and is healing beautifully. He may always have “extra tears” and need to have his eyes wiped off periodically, but he is able to see just fine and is no longer in pain!

Baby’s little girl Gray is very shy but equally snuggly and loving. She spends her days relaxing with dad and is a total sweetheart. She inherited dad’s entropion condition in addition to having an underdeveloped eye and sadly had to have it removed in the summer of 2024. She can see well enough to navigate her home and has no lasting issues from surgery. Shy and gentle, Gray takes a little longer to open up to new people, but she loves playing with toys and in time will grow to trust her new family. She is extremely bonded to Baby, so these two should be adopted together.

Medical Needs

Gray has no medical needs. Baby simply needs to have the tears wiped from his eyes periodically to avoid tear stains on his face.

Adoption

Both Baby and Gray have had their spay and neuter surgeries, rabies vaccines, FVRCP vaccines, dewormings, & flea treatments.

Their adoption fee is $150.

They are currently fostering in Waynesville, NC but can be transported to our second location in Winston-Salem, NC for a meet and greet with the right person. Salem’s Sanctuary does in-state adoptions only.
